Meet Amy

Hi, I am Amy Copland and I am a qualified counsellor with a Masters in Counselling from The College of New Jersey.

I am registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP 389892) and also a registered member of the American Counselling Association.

I have experience using a variety of counselling techniques and having lived internationally for almost my entire career, I ensure that I take cultural perspectives into account in my practice.

Having people put their trust in me to help support them or their children to overcome barriers, trauma or challenges and to help them work towards achieving their potential, is the best job I could ever hope for.

Even before I became a counsellor, I was always in the helping profession and engaged in a significant amount of service/charitable work. Helping others to find a way to fulfil their potential and be proud of who they are has always been what inspires and motivates me.

I have been involved in education for 17 years and worked in some of the top international schools in the world, holding positions as a counsellor, special education director/SENCO and a host of other roles which enabled me to help children and adolescents achieve their potential and also act as a support system for them and their families.

I am also a member of the Chi Sigma Iota Counseling Academic and Professional Honor Society (CSI), holding my membership through the Alpha Epsilon Chapter at The College of New Jersey by invitation for academic and professional performance.

I offer a free 15minute zoom session to give you an opportunity to establish if I am the right counsellor for you. I look forward to meeting you and helping you to develop strategies to overcome any barriers currently impacting your wellbeing.
